undoubtedly Trinity is one of the major tenets of Christianity, and likewise one of the most controversial because of its apparent lack of logic. As is well known, the Trinity implies that God is both One and Three, "three distinct persons, one true God."
Obviously, this statement defies human logic, in our view something can not be one three things at once, so, believe it is mostly a matter of faith. However, these days I was thinking about a metaphor that I heard about the Holy Trinity that, while far to explain the dogma, helps our minds to get an idea of \u200b\u200bhow it could be understood.
The example is as follows: The Holy Trinity is like water, water is one element that has three different physical states, which does not change its molecular composition. In this sense, the water is solid, liquid and gas, but is still H2O. In the case of the Trinity , God is Father, Son and Spirit Santo, however it is still God.
With this reflection does not pretend to explain the nature of God, or unravel the mystery of the Holy Trinity , however I think that gives us the tools to not consider something as illogical dogma to our human mind.
